From discovery
to belonging.

A connected recruitment experience for players, guild leaders and the people who look after your community.

A better first impression

Create a guild profile with your game, region, platform, language, play style, activity requirements and roster capacity. Add an optional banner and adjust its focal point so your community has a recognizable home on the board.

Members can browse recruitment cards and combine filters to find guilds that suit them. Staff can feature published listings, while paused or full guilds clearly show their recruitment state.

Find My Guild

Members save up to five games and optional preferences for region, platform, language, role, play style and usual play times. Matching guilds come with clear reasons, such as:

  • Plays your game.
  • Has an opening for your preferred role.
  • Supports your platform and language.
  • Shares your play style.
  • Has overlapping play times across your time zones.

Preferences stay private. Members can choose alerts for future matches or simply return to their saved results whenever they like.

Applications that fit your guild

Build a questionnaire with custom questions or start from 15 gaming-focused presets. Organize fields into sections, mark answers as required, and preview the applicant experience before publishing.

Supported fields include short text, long text, dropdowns, radio choices, email, whole numbers and dates. Existing submissions retain their original question labels and answers when a guild changes its form.

A private officer workspace

Follow candidates through Applied, In review, Interview, Trial, Accepted, Declined and Withdrawn. Stages wrap into rows on smaller screens, keeping the pipeline in normal page flow without sideways scrolling.

Open a candidate to review their answers, change their stage, assign a responsible officer and add internal notes. A private timeline records review activity and decisions.

The right openings, with room to grow

Advertise named roles and the number of places available. Applicants choose an opening when roles are configured, and acceptance checks both role availability and overall roster capacity.

Accepted applicants become entries in the officer-private roster, with display roles and join dates. Moving a member out of Accepted removes their tracked entry and adjusts the roster count.

Conversations, interviews and trials

Ask follow-up questions in a private application conversation shared with the applicant and authorized officers. Internal notes and trial feedback remain separate.

Propose interview times using an explicit time zone. Applicants confirm or decline from My applications, and rescheduling asks them to confirm again.

Set trial start/end dates, record private feedback and receive a decision-due reminder. Officers make the decision; the add-on does not automatically accept or reject players.

A clearer experience for members

My applications brings a member's applications together with current statuses, role information, interview details, conversation links and withdrawal controls.

Native XenForo alerts cover recruitment activity, including application updates, messages, interview activity and optional guild matches. Member alert preferences and administrator controls apply.

Community controls

Administrators can configure permissions, banner limits, alerts, conversations, matching and optional listing approval. Authorized recruitment staff can approve or hide listings, review private reports, record resolutions and feature selected guilds.

The public screens use a consistent responsive design with colors that follow the forum's light or dark style.

SIX NATIVE XENFORO WIDGETS

Meet your members
where they are.

Bring discovery, personal recommendations and private officer tasks to the forum positions you choose.

PUBLIC DISCOVERY

Featured guilds

Compact recruitment cards for staff-selected guilds that are published and currently have places available. Optional banners give each guild a recognizable introduction.

PERSONAL / PRIVATE

Recommended for you

Personal Find My Guild matches for the signed-in member, with short reasons for each recommendation. Members without saved preferences can follow a link to set them up.

PUBLIC DISCOVERY

Latest recruiting guilds

Recently created, published guilds accepting applications. Help new communities get discovered without showing paused, full or unpublished listings.

PUBLIC DISCOVERY

Open recruitment roles

Available named positions and remaining-place counts, such as “2 Healer places open.” Links take players to the guild profile to learn more and apply.

PERSONAL / PRIVATE

My applications

The signed-in member's application statuses, roles, update times and conversation links. Administrators can choose whether to include closed applications.

PERSONAL / PRIVATE

Officer action queue

A private view of applications needing review, interviews in the next seven days and overdue trial decisions. Only guilds the visitor currently has officer authority over are included; internal answers and notes are not displayed.

Bring recruitment to the places your members already visit. Six native XenForo widgets can be added to supported widget positions, including the forum sidebar.

Administrators add instances through Appearance → Widgets → Add widget, choose a Talmyric widget definition, and select its positions. Each instance supports a display limit of 1–10, optional game and guild filters, and an option to hide empty results. Banner and queue-category controls appear where relevant. Widgets are not placed automatically.

Personal widgets are hidden from guests. Public widgets respect recruitment-view permission, and personal and officer widgets check the current visitor's access independently of their placement.

GOOD QUESTIONS. CLEAR ANSWERS.

A little clarity
goes a long way.

How it works, who can see what, and what to expect before you install.

Who is this add-on for?

Gaming forums that want to help players find clans, guilds, companies, corporations or other organized teams—and keep recruitment inside their community.

Which XenForo version does it support?

It targets XenForo 2.3+ and has been tested against XenForo 2.3.13. Other 2.3 releases and custom styles should be checked on a staging forum before production use.

Does it require another Talmyric add-on?

No. It is a standalone add-on and does not modify XenForo core files.

Who can read an application?

The guild's owner, its authorized officers and members explicitly granted global recruitment-management permission can review it. Other applicants cannot read it. Internal officer notes and trial feedback are never shown in applicant conversations.

Who can read application messages?

That applicant, the guild's current authorized officers and explicitly authorized global managers. Removing an officer removes their access. Closed applications retain a read-only conversation until an officer reopens the application.

Can members apply to more than one guild?

Yes. Each member can have one application per guild. An officer can reopen an existing application after withdrawal or rejection; the member does not submit a duplicate application to that guild.

Does the pipeline support dragging cards?

Stage changes currently use forms on the candidate review page. The board provides the pipeline overview; drag-and-drop movement is not included.

How does Find My Guild decide what fits?

It uses saved preferences and current guild information. Selected games, region, platform, language and roles filter results; shared play styles help rank them. When both sides provide schedules, they need at least 30 minutes of overlap within the next 14 days. Missing schedule information is clearly identified.

Game names and role labels match as written, ignoring case. Results explain the matching criteria rather than presenting a prediction of acceptance.

Is matchmaking powered by an external AI service?

No. Matching uses local rules and forum data. Saved preferences are not sent to an external matching service or shared with guild leaders.

Will members receive matching alerts automatically?

No. Members must opt in. Saving preferences displays existing matches without sending a backlog of alerts. Future match alerts are limited to three per rolling 24 hours, with a seven-day cooldown for the same guild. XenForo alert preferences still apply.

Are reminders and match alerts instant?

No. They use XenForo scheduled tasks and depend on normal task execution. Interview invitations and recruitment updates use native alerts, but external push delivery depends on the forum's configuration and delivery services.

Can officers add members who never applied?

The named roster currently tracks accepted applicants. A guild can retain an aggregate count for its existing members, but those members do not automatically become individual roster entries.

Can a forum require staff approval before listings appear?

Yes. Optional listing approval sends new guilds and edits to published guilds into a private review queue. Staff-hidden listings remain hidden until staff explicitly publishes them.

Can administrators control banners and notifications?

Yes. Banner controls include enabled/disabled state, upload size, source dimensions and profile display height. Administrators can also control recruitment alerts, trial reminders, application conversations, matching and optional match alerts.

Are Discord, email and calendar integrations included?

No direct integrations are included. Officers can share joining instructions in the application conversation or interview details. Calendar invitations, Discord synchronization and email digests are possible future additions.

How do I upgrade?

Install the new release as an upgrade through XenForo's Add-ons area. Do not uninstall first: uninstalling removes the add-on's stored data. The package includes installation instructions and testing notes.

How do I add recruitment widgets?

Open Appearance → Widgets → Add widget in the XenForo Admin Control Panel. Select one of the six Talmyric widget definitions, choose its positions and configure its filters. You can create multiple instances for different games or guilds. Installation does not place widgets automatically.

Will personal or officer widgets show private information to everyone?

No. My applications and Recommended for you use the signed-in member's own data. The officer queue checks current guild authority. Guests do not see these personal widgets, and placing a widget in a public position does not bypass its privacy checks.

POSSIBILITIES AHEAD

Built to grow
with your community.

Useful ideas for the next chapter, shaped by what communities need in everyday recruitment.

The following are proposed directions, not features included in 1.9.0 or commitments to a release date. Priorities can change with feedback from communities using the add-on.

01

First priorities: everyday usability

  • Guild shortlists: Save interesting guilds and compare their roles, schedules and recruitment details before applying.
  • Smarter naming: Optional game, platform and role catalogs with aliases, helping members find matches when communities use different names for the same thing.
  • Calendar handoff: Download interview calendar invitations and explore optional interview reminders.
  • Accessibility and language polish: Continue keyboard, screen-reader, small-screen and phrase/localization improvements.
02

Deeper tools for guild leaders

  • Recruitment insights: See application volumes, time spent in each stage and openings that are taking longer to fill.
  • Broader roster management: Explore adding existing members individually, recording departures and transferring guild ownership with appropriate permission checks.
  • Review guidance: Optional officer checklists and feedback prompts to make interviews and trial decisions more consistent.
03

Community and integration ideas

  • Privacy tools: Explore member data exports, configurable retention and better handling of deleted accounts.
  • Conversation moderation: Consider reporting tools for application messages and more staff review controls.
  • Optional integrations: Evaluate Discord connections, calendar features and recruitment digests where they provide a clear benefit without making external services a requirement.

Community feedback will help determine which ideas earn a place in the next release.
