FAQ​

Where is the setting?
Go to Admin control panel → Setup → Options → XenForo Resource Manager → Require resource taglines.

What happens when I disable it?
The tagline field disappears, resources can be submitted without a tagline, and supported listings and embeds show description excerpts instead.

Will my existing taglines be deleted?
No. Existing taglines remain stored and return when you re-enable the option. Submitted tagline changes are ignored while it is disabled.

What happens when I re-enable it?
Normal tagline behavior returns. Resources created without a tagline will need one when next submitted through the normal editing workflow.

Does it work with Talmyric LongerTagLine?
Yes. LongerTagLine controls the maximum length; this add-on controls whether taglines are required and displayed.

Are resource permissions respected?
The preview checks resource access and respects XFRM’s description-length restriction for fileless resources.

Will it change old discussion posts or notifications?
No. Previously published posts, sent notifications, and external cached content are not rewritten.

Does it support custom styles?
Styles retaining the standard XFRM template markup should work. Heavily customized templates may need adjustments.

What happens if I uninstall it?
XFRM’s normal behavior returns. Resource descriptions and stored taglines remain intact.

How do I install it?
Use Admin control panel → Add-ons → Install/upgrade from archive and select the release ZIP.
